February 2020 Medusa Makeup Beauty Box Review ♡

Hello Makeup Lovers!
I'm excited to review my second Medusa Beauty Box ever for the month of February! Medusa Makeup Beauty Box is a monthly subscription that is only $16.95/month where you get 4 full sized Medusa Makeup products that are all vegan/cruelty free!

This Month I Received:

♡ I love the color of the pressed eyeshadow! The shade Rhapsody is a lovely medium fuchsia shade with a shimmery finish. I was able to apply this eyeshadow on my lid with my finger and it came out to be pigmented and did not stain my eye or crease on the lid after 8 hours of wear.

Here is the swatch. On the night that I wore this eyeshadow I got a lot of compliments on my look and the color!

♡ Who doesn't love a nude matte liquid lipstick? This matte liquid lip in the shade name Strip Tease is a beautiful mauve nude shade. When applied it dried down fairly quick and did not skip around on my lips. I wore this liquid lip for 8 hours and stayed put the whole night so I was fairly impressed!

♡ I've been become pretty familiar with loose eyeshadow and I was happy to receive one this month in the shade Full Moon, which is a shimmery white with shade shifting pink iridescence. This loose eyeshadow is pretty sheer but it makes for a perfect topper shade or an inner corner highlight, or even as highlighter on the cheeks!

♡ And last but not least is the vanilla lip balm called Rage Against the Bean (cutest name ever!) This vanilla lip balm pretty much your basic lip balm to which it moisturized my lips throughout the day and had a yummy vanilla scent but its 100% vegan and cruelty-free for those of you who are vegan!

Overall, I'm pretty pleased and had fun with what I tried this month from Medusa Beauty box! I'll probably even give the lip balm to my boyfriend since he loved desert scented lip balms!

February 2020 Birchbox Review ♡

Hello makeup lovers!
I'm excited to share my thoughts on my chosen curated box this month from Birchbox!  Birchbox is a beauty subscription that gives you up to 5-6 beauty, hair care, and skin care products for only $15 a month! This month's box is not a curated box and the only item I picked was the blush. This month's theme is Uncomplicate Your Routine.

This Month I Received:

This multitasking hair spray from Oribe acts a dry shampoo that gives hair texture which works great for newly styled hair or second-day hair! I love add this product to my hair to add a bit more texture and volume after curling my hair and I love the Mediterranean-inspired scent.

♡ This has to be the shiniest and glossiest lip gloss ever! I love Lip Glass from MAC and the shade I received is was Love Child which is a glossy berry shade. I love pairing Lip Glass over my favorite berry lip shades to add extra shine. The only thing about this gloss is that if you're not into super sticky glosses then I wouldn't recommend this.

♡ This is my first time trying out Eyeko mascara! This botanically-enriched formula that's actually energized with caffeine really helped perk up my lashes for a cute, fluttery look!

♡ I love, love, LOVE the Laura Geller Baked swirl highlighters and I always wanted to try the shade I received which is Diamond Dust. I love the color payoff of the gelato swirl highlighters and the shade I received gives off this illuminating, iridescent pink glow.

♡ My hair takes a lot of heat with my straighter and blow-dryer so I was happy to receive this leave in conditioner spray which deeply nourishes hair, protects against UV exposure and damaging free radicals, and it keeps frizz at a minimum all day! I loved how it left my hair feeling more moisturized and soft and how there was no strong, annoying scent.

♡ And last but not least is the Davines hair duo! The paraben- and sulphate-free shampoo cleanser is the creates a nice sheen as it boosts volume and improves hair texture while the conditioner protects your mane from the elements while helping it dry faster and still maintain body and keeps it soft! Both shampoo and conditioner have natural active ingredients like antioxidant-fueled roucou oil protect hair from harsh UV radiation and soften strands, while sunflower seed oil amps up shine. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the scent, but it's a very natural, organic scent I suppose.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my February box and everything I got to try! I loved this mix of haircare and makeup in my chosen curated box.
