February 2020 Birchbox Review ♡

Hello makeup lovers!
I'm excited to share my thoughts on my chosen curated box this month from Birchbox!  Birchbox is a beauty subscription that gives you up to 5-6 beauty, hair care, and skin care products for only $15 a month! This month's box is not a curated box and the only item I picked was the blush. This month's theme is Uncomplicate Your Routine.

This Month I Received:

This multitasking hair spray from Oribe acts a dry shampoo that gives hair texture which works great for newly styled hair or second-day hair! I love add this product to my hair to add a bit more texture and volume after curling my hair and I love the Mediterranean-inspired scent.

♡ This has to be the shiniest and glossiest lip gloss ever! I love Lip Glass from MAC and the shade I received is was Love Child which is a glossy berry shade. I love pairing Lip Glass over my favorite berry lip shades to add extra shine. The only thing about this gloss is that if you're not into super sticky glosses then I wouldn't recommend this.

♡ This is my first time trying out Eyeko mascara! This botanically-enriched formula that's actually energized with caffeine really helped perk up my lashes for a cute, fluttery look!

♡ I love, love, LOVE the Laura Geller Baked swirl highlighters and I always wanted to try the shade I received which is Diamond Dust. I love the color payoff of the gelato swirl highlighters and the shade I received gives off this illuminating, iridescent pink glow.

♡ My hair takes a lot of heat with my straighter and blow-dryer so I was happy to receive this leave in conditioner spray which deeply nourishes hair, protects against UV exposure and damaging free radicals, and it keeps frizz at a minimum all day! I loved how it left my hair feeling more moisturized and soft and how there was no strong, annoying scent.

♡ And last but not least is the Davines hair duo! The paraben- and sulphate-free shampoo cleanser is the creates a nice sheen as it boosts volume and improves hair texture while the conditioner protects your mane from the elements while helping it dry faster and still maintain body and keeps it soft! Both shampoo and conditioner have natural active ingredients like antioxidant-fueled roucou oil protect hair from harsh UV radiation and soften strands, while sunflower seed oil amps up shine. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the scent, but it's a very natural, organic scent I suppose.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my February box and everything I got to try! I loved this mix of haircare and makeup in my chosen curated box.

January 2020 Birchbox Review ♡

Hello makeup lovers! I'm happy to share my curated box that I chose for January 2020!

This Month I Received:

I love moisturizing lipsticks/lip balms and this little lipstick did not disappoint! This lipstick transforms from bright orange into a pretty peach shade upon application. It has a glossy finish to it and is a bit sheer but you can see a slight pink tint but this lipstick kept my lips moist and hydrated throughout the day!

♡ I LOVE this sponge! This 2-in-1 soap-sponge hybrid tool combines an inflammation-reducing mother of pearl body wash with a mild, exfoliating scrubber so you can skip a step (and a product) in the shower. I love using this sponge on my chest and neck to help with acne (ugh I know) and make sure my skin and super extra clean and exfoilated. This sponge is also perfect to take on the go especially if you need a small sponge to use when you're showering after the gym or if you don't want to use that weird hotel soap! The only thing I noticed is that it leaves my skin with that weird dry, rubbery skin feeling.

♡ I preferably do like under eye mask gels over full face masks and trying these masks were an interesting to try. These masks soothe the appearance of dark under eye circles with the use of blue tansy and arnica and is for normal to sensitive skin. After leaving under my eyes for 15 minutes, I noticed that my skin was hydrated and brighter under the eyes and not as puffy.

♡ This is my favorite product from curated box this month! This lash primer is specially formulated with a blend of no-flake mini fibers and peptides, GrandePRIMER coats your lashes to prepare them for mascara application and boosts its effects. All you do is apply generously, let the product dry, and then apply your favorite mascara! I noticed an instant length and volume boost in my lashes, I just couldn't believe how much longer my lashes look and also NO FLAKING! I would definitely recommend this lash boosting primer!

♡ I've had the pleasure of trying this product before in a previous Birchbox but I'm always happy for a second time around with a product (especially if I liked it) cause this product really helps my hair stay frizz free during humid and rainy weather. This hair serum smooths, conditions, seals, and protects your strands from heat, leaving hair shiny and frizz free. I also still love the smell!

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my January box! I got to try new things and an old favorite and I have a feeling from this first box that the rest of the year is going to be just as interesting and great!

December 2019 Birchbox Review ♡

Hello beauty lovers! It's that most wonderful time of the year and I'm excited to share my December Birchbox review! Birchbox is a beauty subscription that gives you up to 5-6 beauty, hair care, and skin care products for only $15 a month! This month's box is not a curated box and the only item I picked was the blush. This month's theme is Reflections: Celebrate the year-end and look forward to a beautiful beginning.

This Month I Received
♡ Acure - Incredibly Clear Sheet Mask
♡ Briogeo - Be Gentle, Be Kind™ Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo & Conditioner
♡ Marcelle - Xtension Plus Skyline Mascara
♡ Whal Myung - WM5™ Antioxidant Rejuvenating Serum
♡ Phase Zero - Blusher

First up is the Briogeo shampoo and conditioner duo! This hair duo is supposed to help hair become healthier with the help of matcha and apple and is also the sulfate-, paraben-, silicone-, and phthalate-free and smells fresh and amazing. The shampoo is tough on dirt, oil, and buildup while being gentle on strands while the conditioner helps hydrate and nourish leaving hair looking healthier. I really liked this hair duo and how it left my hair feeling super clean and I genuinely enjoyed the scent!

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

♡ This blush is super cute! I received the shade Cotton Candy that is a cute, silky light pink shade. The formula was very soft, applying smoothly onto the skin, and you can either wear it lightly or build it up for a more intense pink look.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

♡ I really love this serum! This serum is super hydrating and absorbs immediately into the skin and has a somewhat tacky quality that helps with setting in my foundation and concealer. This serum gel matrix contains red ginseng and the five herb complex WM1897-P5 which deliver nutrients to the skin. There are also eleven types of vitamins that help restore the skin’s vitality and impart antioxidant benefits for dewy, healthy skin.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

♡ My boyfriend has been breaking out due to stress at work so I decided he should try this face mask out instead of myself. This face mask contains BHA (beta hydroxy acid), cucumber, white willow, and licorice root and is for oily to combo and is supposed to help with breakouts and purify pores! A charcoal-infused fiber sheet delivers the potent elixir (which is also paraben-, sulfate-, phthalate-, and silicone-free), boosting its effectiveness and healing power. My boyfriend said it felt cool and hydrating to his skin and the next morning he stated his skin felt soothed and refreshed.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

♡ And last but not least here is the cute little mascara sample! This mascara is clump-free while adding length and definition to even the shortest and finest lashes. The wand is super skinny and when applying to my lashes I have to keep applying until I get the desired look I want but it was clump free! I feel like this mascara is good for a subtle, natural lash look if you're not wanting a long lash and clumpy look.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Overall, I'm super happy with my December box! I'm glad I got a good mix of hair care, makeup, and skin care products to try and even my boyfriend got to benefit from it by trying the face mask! Cant wait to see what the new year has in store for Birchbox!

November 2019 Birchbox Review ♡

Hello makeup lovers! I've been so caught up in playing Pokemon Sword that I almost forgot to update my blog! I'm excited to share my November Birchbox that I picked out of the list of curated boxes. Birchbox is a beauty subscription that gives you up to 5-6 beauty, hair care, and skin care products for only $15 a month! This month's theme is Make Yourself At Home

This Month I Received

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

I just adore Avene and their micellar makeup remover cleanser. This product helps with removing any makeup and impurities I missed with my initial makeup remover while leaving my skin feeling soft and moisturized.

I am so grateful that I got to try this product from Lancôme! This creamy cleanser turns into a rich foam that melts away makeup and dissolves excess oil on this skin leaving my skin looking soft and feeling super clean! I've been using this product every day after removing my makeup and I'm going to be so sad when it runs out.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

♡ This is my first time hearing of TLW and their lets get naked frizz fighter product. When I first handled this product I was bit intimidated due to how thick and goopy it felt but I was able to blow dry it out of my damp hair with ease and it left my hair feeling smooth. I loved the scent of the product that reminded me of peach sour gummy candy.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

♡ I absolutely LOVE this product! This Korean beauty face peel actually exfoilates dead skin cells on the skin leaving your complexion looking bright and skin feeling smooth. I also love that helps rebalance my natural skin moisture. I also think its fun to remove and exfoliate the did skin from my face!

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Here is the cute and small strobing pencil from Lord & Berry! This cute travel sized highlight pencil is perfect for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes and other precise areas. I like the shimmery gold color of this highlighter and I like how you can either give yourself a subtle glowy look or a dramatic blinding glow!

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

And last but not least here is the Rouge Gourmand lipstick! This cute travel sized lipstick is from Lise Watier which is a brand I haven't head of before. This lipstick formula softens the lips while also removing fine lines and wrinkles and also subtle and creamy. I liked this lipstick and the soft, subtle look it gives while also moisturizing my lips as well. For best results I would also recommend exfoliating your lips with a lip scrub before applying. This I received is in the color Champagne which a soft and sheer champagne shade.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the curated box I received this month! I think the only products I didn't care for much was the lipstick and the strobing pencil but I'll probably just keep the strobe pencil for highlighting the inner corners of my eyes and give the lipstick to my mom since she loves soft, champagne shades. I cant wait to see what I can choose from for next month's box!
